In beautiful morning of Leh have the delightful breakfast and get ready for full day sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey & Hemis. In Shey you can see high statue of Buddha made of copper i.e 36Ft. And covered with gold. It was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings. Thicksey is the twelve storied monastery and is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Hemis is far away from leh, this is the wealthiest Monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Red Sect. Every summer plays are held and Ladakhis from all parts of the country visit Hemis. In the Evening return to Leh. Meals and overnight at Hotel.
Have the delightful breakfast and get ready to visit Stok palace which houses a fine private museum. There you’ll see superb collection of thangkhas, said to be the best in the world. In the afternoon visit, a fascinating labyrinth of winding streets and quaint bazaars in Leh. The main street is airy and open, with shops on either sides. On both sides of the market you’ll see Ladakhi women. In traditional dress and colourful jewelry of turquoise and coral, seated behind enormous baskets, selling vegetables. In the morning drive to Alchi, situated to the west of the town of Leh approx 2 hours’ drive. It dates back to the year 1000 AD, Built by Translator, RinchenZangpo. Alchi Gompa in Ladakh embraces number of blessed temples. It includes the main one of RinchenLhakhang at LotsaLhakhang. The other temples are SumtsagLhakhang and the JamyangLhakhang (Manjusri temple). There is an Indian touch especially in the paintings of monastery. Back to Leh and overnight.
