According to Hindu mythological, the Himalayan ranges are the sacred abode of Lord Shiva. He lives there with his better half Goddess Parvati. People consider that Kinner Kailash is the home of Lord Shiva.

Reckong Peo
The true charm of the mighty Himalayas can be viewed in Himachal. All the beautiful towns of this north Indian state are special in their own way. Reckong Peo, the adorable headquarters of Kinnaur district. It is the least populated tourist attraction located atop 2300 meters.
The place, also famed for traditional structures, vivid culture, and vast apple orchards, brims with life and tranquillity. Reckong Peo is the only place in the region where two of the Himalayas’ greatest marvels can be spotted. The Kailash, and Shiva Lingam rock, both being the major tourist attraction for Hindus.
Though most of the tourists prefer staying Kalpa (13 km far). Which has superb stay options any day, Reckong Peo is tourist-friendly as well. Being the district headquarters this place brims with resorts, hotels, eateries, pharmacy, and plenty of shops around, so you have things at your disposal.
Besides nature, there is plenty of tourist attraction in and around Reckong Peo. That would charm you with their magnificence and make your Himachal trip eventful. Chandika Temple, Khab, Kalpa, Bhaba Valley, Kinnaur Kailash, Chango, Leo, Kanam are the places of interest in and around Reckong Peo.
But there’s more to Reckong Peo than the sight of these pretty eye-catching attraction. And every impulsive wanderer must experience it once in a while. For that, I’d recommend you to be there right amidst the gorgeous outdoors of Reckong Peo. Camping is my kind of activity to experience the best of Reckong Peo.
Chanshal Pass trek
Chanshal Pass Trek
Perched atop the Chanshal Peak, Chanshal Pass is the highest pass in the Shimla region. Not a mainstream place, the Chanshal Pass is one of the breathtaking places to visit in Himachal. Connecting the pretty town of Rohru to Dodra and Kwar villages in the Simla area, Chanshal Pass is the highest peak and indeed a daunting one. Chanshal Pass is 48 km from Rohru – a town in Shimla almost 115 km from the Himachal’s capital city. To get here, hire a cab from Shimla for the entire route because that’s the best possible medium to reach the Pass. The best part is that being counted among the offbeat places in Himachal you won’t find the place too crowded. Slush, loose rocks, and super narrow roads (at times) make Chanshal one of the most obscure places to visit in Himachal. Therefore, when you plan to visit Chanshal Pass, make sure that the man behind the wheels is someone well experienced. May to October beginning makes for the best time to explore this place, for the rest of the year, the entire pass is buried under thick layers of snow. Even the monsoon in July and August make the road to Chanshal quite scary. Be reassured that you’d be greeted by strong chilly wind no matter what time of the year it is. And no matter how notorious the roads and weather here are, once you get to Chanshal the views and humbling nature around would leave you a mute spectator. Most of the travelers plan to go camping and enjoy adventure activities at Chanshal. The fun part is, even during the peak summer season, this place occasionally experiences zero degree temperature at night.Chail, Himachal Pradesh
Chail
We(Himalayan trips) are here to guide about Chail. Of all the offbeat places in Shimla, I find Chail one of the prettiest for obvious reasons. The hill-station area placed 44 km from Shimla is a refreshing getaway in the vicinity of Delhi. While Shimla is gasping for fresh air, Chail thrives amidst refreshing breeze straight from the mountains. The hill-station lies neatly entwined in the vast expanse of Chail Wildlife Sanctuary. Chail is a 2-hour ride from Shimla where nature’s beauty all around awaits you. From lakes to vast national parks and from wildlife sanctuary to religious places, there’s a lot that I found interesting in Chail. Let’s take a closer look at all the activities that keep you profoundly engrossed here in the heart of nature. Some of the most popular places to visit in Chail are Himalayan Nature Park, Siddh Baba Ka Mandir, Gurudwara Sahib, Chail Wildlife Sanctuary, and Sadhupul Lake. Walk around the national park region, there are a few lesser-heard trails running across the mountain areas of Chail that enchant every nature lover. Apart from temple-hopping and nature viewing, there are exciting places like World’s highest playground at 7500 ft in the cantonment region, which every traveler must visit. Nature viewing experiences and a cricket match here make some of the most popular things to do in Chail. If you really want to savor opulence then head to Chail Palace Hotel. Once you manage to get a booking at this palace-turned-heritage-hotel, you certainly feel privileged. I’d recommend March to June as the best time to visit Chail. Buses ply to Shimla and further to Chail in Tandem from Delhi.Kalpa Trip – Unexplored Beauty Of Himachal Pradesh
Kalpa Trip
We are Sharing Our Latest Experience Of Kalpa Trip. Kalpa, the scenic town tucked in the quaint corner of the vast Trans-Himalayas, is every traveler’s fancy. The beautiful town in eastern Himachal Kinnaur district is guarded by the high mountain land in the Sutlej-valley region. At 2758 feet above sea level, this Greater Himalayan Paradise is cuddled by clouds and best of Himalayan alpine. I could really see the grand view of Sutlej flowing by, making all the hustles piercing through the rocky terrain of Kinnaur. Having said that, the site by the river also facilitates lovely camping grounds which also serves as a hotspot for all the backpackers looking for some of the most popular things to do in Kalpa. Kinner Kailash Mountain is considered the most sacred spot in the entire Kinnaur region and hence makes for a prime tourist attraction in Kinnaur as well as Kalpa. The magnificence of nature is duly savored by the religious as well as nature devotees in the region. The most prominent attraction here is the Shiva Lingam that sits here atop 70m thus making for a grand spectacle. Sangla Valley is another prominent tourist attraction here that I like and must be visited by everyone. When you are around, there’s indeed a lot to explore apart from the majestic nature. The HPTDC hotels in Kinner Kailash are the stays that I’d especially like to mention, for they are entwined amidst spectacular views are offers wholesome stay experience. The local Himachali cuisines and other food variety make the highlight of this stay. I’d personally recommend it to all the travelers.Raksham Trip- A Small Village Of Kinnaur which is popular for its Beauty
Raksham Trip
We are Sharing Our Experience of Raksham trip. Raksham Valley– A Small Village Of Kinnaur which is popular for its Beauty. Sitting, the pretty village at an altitude of around 3000 meters above sea level Raksham Valley falls en route Chitkul and is truly one of the magical places to visit in Himachal. For a village sparsely populated with 800 people, there is something in the offering for every tourist/traveler. Chitkul falls to your left while traveling to Raksham via Sangla. With river Baspa flowing to the right, there couldn’t be more impressive view in the offering. Besides the snow-clad mountains around, there are a few temples. Primarily of Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali, herds of sheep and shepherds around to pep you up on any day.
Winters in Raksham are extreme and most of the places remain inaccessible because of heavy snowfall. It is therefore recommended to plan a visit to the places around Raksham and beyond between April to September. Speaking of the popular attractions of Rackham. There are some of the age-old houses in the village seeming exquisitely charming in appearance in the presence of a thick forest in the backdrop. You can always plan an eventful hike around the village for some fun and excitement.
Woods forming Himalayan moist temperate forest surrounds the entire village and make it a picture-perfect set-up. So if you are a sucker for vast landscapes and rustic pictures. The Rackham-Chitkul wildlife sanctuary is a popular attraction in the region, which is home to wildlife species such as leopard, blue sheep, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan brown bear, and musk deer.
