Valley of Flowers Trek is the first trek in Bhutan. It is located in Paro Valley, a region at the foot of the Himalayas. The valley has many lakes and rivers which flow into two streams that meet at Pangti Lake. During monsoon season, this lake becomes a beautiful pink color due to algae growth on its banks. This lake is one of the reasons people visit the Valley of Flowers Trek and spend their time relaxing by seeing this natural phenomenon.
Valley of Flowers trek Difficulty level
The difficulty level of a trek is dependent on the route you take and also depends on the time of the year. The higher up in elevation you go, the more difficult it will be for someone who hasn’t walked for years to get used to. If you are fit but not used to long treks then this can mean that after just one day or two days on your feet, your body will ache and feel like it’s been beaten up by a boxer.
If your goal is just getting somewhere quickly then there may be no need for fitness tests but if you want an enjoyable experience then make sure that whatever route you choose has plenty of easy walking sections before any steep climbs or descents so that when they come around they don’t feel too bad!
