WATER TAXIS AND CABS
Almost 70% of the world is all waters, there is no doubt that people created means of travelling through the seas, but sea journeys are time-consuming and more difficult than other means of travels like trains, cars, aeroplanes, etc. But, travelling by water has its own charm just like other transportations. Ships and boats provide once in a lifetime experience that nothing can beat. The water taxi industry has been there since the beginning of time and is flourishing rapidly with new innovations. The water cabs are also called sightseeing boats are they provide beautiful and amazing views of the sea and the area all around it.- The Maltese Dghajsa: the name of this cab is very difficult to say but it is equally interesting; in the 19th century these water cabs were used to take people to and fro in the Grand Harbour, but they don’t give this service anymore. However. You can still take a ride on Dghajsa if you like.
- Gondola Taxi in Venice: they are the most costly cabs in the world; you should be ready to spend some handsome money if you want to travel on it. But if you have a limited amount of money than you should opt for Traghetto which is a Gondola Ferry and will give you a trip down the canals. It is docked to a real taxi station which is so cool!
- Abra Boats in Dubai: Dubai is the base of all the modernization and there you can find all types of things including high and low-end vehicles. There are modern boats that can be used to enjoy the view of Dubai but the best trip will always be in the traditional Abra boats which have been used since the 1700s to transport people around the Dubai Creek. They give the feeling of Greek ships.
- Shikara Boats on Dal Lake Kashmir: these boats can be seen in India occupied Kashmir. They used to be the symbol of beauty but since India has inflicted war upon Kashmir everything lost its beauty, including these wooden boats which worked as taxis on Dal Lake.
- Venetian Water Taxis: because there are no streets in Venice, people obviously use the water Gondolas and taxis to get around the city. Locally these taxis are called motoscafi or acquei for tourists they are just water cabs and interesting ones too. They are very costly and very fast but they are the only option to travel around so people have to pay high prices to travel in them. Also, they are super romantic and dreamlike to travel on.
- Water Taxi in Sydney: the traditional colored black and yellow taxis are a good way to travel around the Sydney Harbour. The Australian taxis are open from both sides which allow the passengers to look out and enjoy the view of the famous landmarks and the sea air.
- H2O Taxi in Victoria Canada: these cute taxis are airy and spacious with lots of windows giving amazing views. Once you get on them you won’t want to get off, they give you a tour of the Victoria Harbour Ferry and runs daily in summers i.e. from March to October.
- New York Water Taxis: these taxis services like charter services, commuter services, etc. there is a fleet of 12 yellow and black painted boats that provide wonderful sight of the East and Hudson Rivers.
- Sea Bubbles Flying Taxis Paris: their taxis are the new innovation which will end the pollution because it runs on solar energy means no waste is emitted. It charges fare per ride and is made up of lightweight fiber which actually floats 2 feet above the water. This taxi is currently in use in Paris but soon will expand to America and Britain.
- Chalupa Taxi in Mexico: they are small taxis boat just like shallop. They are whaling boats and were used by Basques in the 16th century. Today they are used in Newfoundland. These boats are rowed and very few have motors in them, they are mostly used locally as their condition is not so good so the tourists avoid using them.
