Sangla Trip- Why Sangla Valley Should Be Your New Favorite Getaway
Sangla Trip
We are sharing our Experience Of Sangla trip. Sangla is located at a stone’s throw distance from Tibet is Himachal’s another pretty Sangla perfectly tucked in the heart of Sangla Valley. Kinnaur being the district and a major town in the region serves as the perfect point of contact for every visitor headed to Sangla. They call it the Pass of Light for its unique setting created during the reception of sunlight during the day. How to reach Sangla! I chose to head to Sangla via Chandigarh, which is roughly a 4.5-hour drive from Delhi. Its close proximity to Delhi and Punjab makes Sangla a perfect weekend getaway for all the outdoor enthusiasts.
From Chandigarh, Sangla is an 11-hour drive. So, if you are planning to start in Delhi, it will take you around 15 hours to reach Sangla. The entire Sangla stretching over an area of 40 km presents a stunning attraction offering surreal views of snow-clad mountains and a multitude of activities like camping, hiking, trekking, rappelling, rock climbing, and river crossing. Sit back and marvel at Kinner Kailash peak, it’s a magnificent sight to behold and the best thing to do in the valley. There is plenty of snow-clad mountains around, quite a few roadside dhabas and eateries around.
Camps make for a prominent option for places to stay in Sangla. Some of the most popular in the region are – Banjara, Kinner, Igloo Nature, Baikunth Adventure Camp, and the Sangla Valley camps. Apart from arranging incredible stays, these camps also arrange for adventure activities and guided tours. Rakcham trek is a popular snow trek in the region and it is so close to my heart.
Raksham Trip- A Small Village Of Kinnaur which is popular for its Beauty
Raksham Trip
We are Sharing Our Experience of Raksham trip. Raksham Valley– A Small Village Of Kinnaur which is popular for its Beauty. Sitting, the pretty village at an altitude of around 3000 meters above sea level Raksham Valley falls en route Chitkul and is truly one of the magical places to visit in Himachal. For a village sparsely populated with 800 people, there is something in the offering for every tourist/traveler. Chitkul falls to your left while traveling to Raksham via Sangla. With river Baspa flowing to the right, there couldn’t be more impressive view in the offering. Besides the snow-clad mountains around, there are a few temples. Primarily of Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali, herds of sheep and shepherds around to pep you up on any day.
Winters in Raksham are extreme and most of the places remain inaccessible because of heavy snowfall. It is therefore recommended to plan a visit to the places around Raksham and beyond between April to September. Speaking of the popular attractions of Rackham. There are some of the age-old houses in the village seeming exquisitely charming in appearance in the presence of a thick forest in the backdrop. You can always plan an eventful hike around the village for some fun and excitement.
Woods forming Himalayan moist temperate forest surrounds the entire village and make it a picture-perfect set-up. So if you are a sucker for vast landscapes and rustic pictures. You for sure know that Raksham Valley is the perfect place to visit in Himachal. The Rackham-Chitkul wildlife sanctuary is a popular attraction in the region, which is home to wildlife species such as leopard, blue sheep, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan brown bear, and musk deer.
